CiteVerify

CiteVerify resolves reporter citations (for example 123 F.3d 456, 456 U.S. 789, 307 F. Supp. 3d 907) by asking CourtListener for a case cluster with that exact reporter citation. A green result means a real opinion with that citation exists. It does not confirm that the case says what your sentence claims, and it does not check subsequent history — always read the linked opinion. Because lookups run without an API key, CourtListener allows only 5 requests per minute, so larger briefs are checked a few at a time.
